Modular membrane technology

Every BLUE FOOT Membrane filtration system is built from a series of standardised building blocks. This modular architecture simplifies engineering, installation and future expansion while allowing every system to be configured for the specific requirements of each project.

From 3D support structure to scalable membrane systems.

Our IPC® membrane technology is designed for reliable long-term operation, even under challenging wastewater conditions. Robust membrane design, effective backwashing and application-specific engineering help maintain stable performance, reduce operational risk and minimise operator intervention.

1

3D Support Structure

The foundation of IPC® membrane technology is a non-compressible 3D woven textile support. This structural backbone provides mechanical strength while creating integrated permeate channels throughout the membrane sheet.

2

IPC® Membrane Sheet

The PVDF membrane layer is cast directly into the 3D woven support, creating a single integrated composite without gluing or welding. Dedicated U-caps ensure accurate positioning during operation and backwashing. The integrated IPC® construction distributes backwash uniformly across the entire membrane surface and is designed to withstand backwash pressures of up to 2 bar (29 psi).
3

IPC® Module

Individual IPC® membrane sheets are assembled into a standardised membrane module. Each module integrates membrane sheets, permeate and backwash connections, and an integrated aeration system into a compact, modular building block.
4

Stack

One, two or three membrane modules are combined into a stack using a dedicated aeration box. The modular design adapts to different tank geometries and simplifies installation and future expansion.
5

Multistack

Multiple stacks are combined into a multistack, reducing field connections and simplifying installation.

Available configurations include:

  • Flex R – 4 membrane modules
  • Flex 6 – 6 membrane modules
  • Flex 9 – 9 membrane modules

Multistacks are pre-assembled outside the tank and installed as a single lifting unit.
