Cedrob

Driving water circularity at a Polish poultry processor

Challenge

Cedrob’s expanding poultry processing operations increased the need for reliable water reuse. Declining groundwater availability, highly variable wastewater loads and limited space at the existing plant called for a compact and robust treatment solution.

Solution

Nijhuis Saur Industries integrated BLUE FOOT‘s IPC® Flex membrane modules into the existing treatment plant. The compact MBR system, designed to treat approximately 1,333 m³/day, combines automated backwashing with a site-specific cleaning protocol to maintain reliable filtration under challenging conditions.

Results

The installation enables an additional 1,000 m³/day of reclaimed water, bringing Cedrob’s total to approximately 5,000 m³/day. The membrane system delivers stable filtration under variable loads while requiring approximately 50% less aeration energy than the alternative evaluated for this project.
